Dog Eat Dog : Chapter OneThe rain started out as a swirl of droplets that drifted down from the gray sky. Within minutes, it was a downpour. Tiny rivers rushed through the streets toward the storm drains. Leftover snow, turned an ugly brown by the overall filthiness of the city, was scattered here and there along the sidewalk. A chilling wind that rushed past in short bursts helped make winter’s presence known. January lacked the charm that its cousin, December, held.
